Jill’s brother and family joined us this weekend for a fun filled day at Colemans Lake.

There was fishing to be done…

- Jason and Jake take the kayaks out to fish on the lake
- One of the bald eagles swooped down and caught a fish 20 feet from Jason…awesome!

and other assorted outdoor activities.

- Adam and Max work together to make a tomahawk…
- short on string, they used the pull strap from a garbage bag and a nylon tent strip…
- displaying their newly created weapons….
- and I put together the new “outhouse” 🙂
The boys climbed things, because that’s what boys do…

- going up is always easier than coming down!

and road dirt bikes.

We had our first picnic on the lake…
- first one must put together the grill
- and then the picnic table…

and then did a little after-dinner target practice.

Everyone chilled out as the light began to fade…
- Jason takes a little cat nap

- Adam takes another turn on the dirt bike
- Megan chills out by the lake with a book
- Dave gets in a little fishing
- And Jill? She’s still taking pictures…and making tea pot shadow images….
and marveled at the peaceful tranquility of the lake, as the sun started to set.

- the air is crisp and still, and the silent lake reflects the sky like a mirror…simply perfect
If only we had a log cabin, we could have spent the night. Soon, very soon….
